Rainy Lake Tribal Area Business & Financial Services Corporation is an Aboriginal Financial Institution (AFI), that provides Treaty #3 First Nations with access to financing for First Nation-owned businesses, for start-up or expansion of a business. We also provide related services in the areas of business support, planning, training and management skills development. Our service area includes all of Treaty #3.
Pwi-Di-Goo-Zing Ne-Yaa-Zhing Advisory Services recognized that there were challenges facing many of its First Nations communities in making progress toward growing and maintaining a sustainable economic base. The Corporation was formally established in 2004 as a not-for-profit organization and is governed by a Board of Directors, comprised of the seven Chiefs of the Rainy Lake Tribal Area. In 2011, the Corporation was established as a fully recognized AFI within the by-laws of NACCA, at which time it expanded its service area to include all First Nation communities of Treaty #3. Today, the Corporation is a full service financial institution, offering a range of lending products and business support assistance to First Nation entrepreneurs from across the Treaty #3 territory.
